I personally love wedding favors that are useful or can be consumed (read delicious). There’s nothing worse than finding stacks of wedding favors left at the end of the evening that are ultimately going to find their way to the trash. I find food items are almost always taken away with the guest or consumed (sometimes before the guest leaves the party) and that’s a good thing – no waste!
Here’s a sampling of winter wedding favors that won’t be left behind:
We made hot chocolate favors from mason jars. Perfect for winter weekend weddings with lots of outdoor activities.
Who can resist an always delicious smores made with decadent chocolate and a homemade marshmallow? Perfect for winter bonfires by the pond or enjoyed by a cozy fire.
We presented the smores here in personalized wood wrappers and then wrapped them in twine.
Coffee, hot chocolate or other warm drinks are always appreciated on a cold winter’s day. A coffee / hot chocolate bar would be a perfect way to warm guests at an outdoor ceremony or before guests head out for a day of winter wedding activities. These reusable mugs are wrapped in warm, cable-knit cozies and the eco-friendly ceramic cups are wrapped with our wood veneer sleeves that we personalized with the couple’s name.
Staying warm is the key to enjoying outdoor festivities and I love the idea of wedding guests tucking one of these mini cashmere hand-warmers into their pockets at the start of an outdoor ceremony or before guests head out to enjoy winter activities. We presented these cashmere hand warmers in our handcrafted maple wood boxes.
And finally, a snow globe. These snow globes contain photos of the bride and groom (and incidentally would be great table markers too). The photos in these globes are interchangeable and if guests prefer they can use their own photos after the wedding.
These would be charming on a mantle at Christmastime with a photo of a loved one.
